Maps can be an awesome tool for connecting people with their surroundings. This is particularly important for networking and movement building, as people are often unaware of the awesome projects that may be going on just a few blocks away. This document is meant as a tutorial – to help the average activist make an awesome map for his or her organization.

The current theme for WeCAN is a bit buggy, and there are a lot of areas where things need to be cleaned up. The forums and groups/projects, in particular, are hard to understand because information is squished together and not well-spaced or visibly organized.

Our WeCAN web design team is currently one amazing, self-taught volunteer.
