Green Wheels is a community-driven project to provide Albuquerque residents
with access to a fleet of shared bicycles, bicycle etiquette education, and
bicycle maintenance skills. Green Wheels
sees bicycles as vehicles to empower and educate individuals, build geographic
and cycling communities, confront the energy challenge and global warming, gain
health and fitness, encourage smart urban layout, and improve the general standard
of living in Albuquerque. Green Wheels
ABQ, building upon successful bike-share models around the nation and world,
uses bicycle donations, member/volunteer hours, and partner resources to
maintain fleets and offer classes.
